Bear & Orangutan Rescue – Stories of Survival with Alan Knight OBE

15 April @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

£5.00

You are invited to an inspiring afternoon with IAR Founder and President Alan Knight OBE. Alan is a tireless advocate for animal welfare, and he was honoured with an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, recognising his exceptional contributions to animal rescue and conservation worldwide.

During this event, he will share his lifelong passion for protecting animals and shine a spotlight on International Animal Rescue’s groundbreaking work around the globe.

The afternoon promises to be both inspiring and thought-provoking as Alan shares:

  • The remarkable success of rescuing over 600 dancing bears off the streets of India in partnership with Wildlife SOS.
  • Life-changing initiatives including The Great Bear Rescue in Armenia, where once-captive bears thrive in specially designed sanctuaries.
  • Critical efforts to save orangutans in Indonesia from habitat destruction and exploitation, including stories of triumph like Budi, the orangutan who returned to the wild after eight years of rehabilitation.
  • The diverse array of species we rescue, treat and release at our Wildlife Rescue and Education Centre in Costa Rica including orphaned baby howler monkeys.

Alan will also discuss the challenges of modern animal welfare, his vision for creating sustainable solutions, and explain how individuals can make a difference in the fight against cruelty and environmental destruction.

Tickets are £5.00 and refreshments will be provided.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear firsthand about the challenges and triumphs of modern conservation – and how we can all make a difference. We look forward to seeing you there.
